Below is my letter (abridged version) Fra: Наталья Тюлюкина [mailto:natalya.tyulyukina@8ozer.kz] Sendt: 18. september 2013 11:21 Til: Christian Lond Dear Christian Lond I arrived at your hotel 11/09/13 and departed on 15/19/13. Room 502. On the day of my departure, I woke up at 8a.m. and immediately realized that my mobile phone ( a white Samsung s3 ) was missing. The evening before, I had plugged it into the wall socket near the door, so that the batteries would recharge. I reported it missing to the manager. She told me that she took no responsibility for missing items. She did not fill out an incident report or called the police. I had to leave for the airport. When I arrived at the airport, I decided to buy water, and realized that my money was missing too. There were 500 euro in one denomination, and 170 euro in the currency of my country. On arrival at the hotel the organizers of my trip gave me the Danish money, there for I put my money in a small bag at the bottom of a larger bag, and on the top a lot of closes and other things. And this bag have never for a moment left the room. I'm sure that this is done by your maids during the cleaning of the room, they found where the money is, and on the last day they stole them. I think that my room was entered by them between 5.00 and 6.00 o'clock in the morning while I was asleep. What would have happened if I had woken up? Fear of punishment they would hit me on the head?? It was very well planned theft. It concerns me greatly that my room was entered while I slept that night. Could you be so kind and investigate the incident? I fully expect compensation from your organization. It is very disturbing that you do not provide adequate security for your guests, and more so, that your manager is not interested in investigating and resolving such an incident. Please let me know in a timely manner what I can expect from you in terms of compensation. Total damage is 1170 euros if you do not repay it to me, you lose a lot more. We are a serious hotel chain, and have been in the Hotel industry more than 40 years. Every day, our house keeping cleaning rooms, and our guest leave many of their belongings in the room. I would not believe, that any of my staff would steal from our guest. The risk for that, will be all too high. Why should the lose their job for 500 euro., that is less what there are earn for 3 days work. If I knew that one off the staff was a thief, do you really think that I would accept that, and let him or she work here?? When you claim a person for a crime, it is you who have to prove that. The first day maid came in to the my room without knocking while I was sleeping!!!!!!!! In "serious" hotels have cameras and safe-box in the rooms!!! Do you think I came up with all this???? You do not have any right to question my words. Among your staff is a thief, and if you do not know it, you're a bad manager! Believe me I am value my time but I am forced to spend my time to write this letter to you. Why are you not inform me in your confirmation letter that hotel is not responsible safety stay in your hotel? Why did your staff do not inform me on reception desk??? In the room there was no information to keep belongings in safety places?? In case you informed beforehand I would keep all my belongings with me. When I went to bed, I was using my phone with a «whatsapp», it was at 11.45pm Danish time, my sister wrote to me last message, but since I wanted to sleep, I touched the top of the screen and saw, but did not open the message, so the one who stole started watching the phone, and accidentally walked into the «whatsapp»! In attachment, shows that last time "in the net" I was at 9:30am Kazakhstan time, the difference 4 hours, then at 5.30am Danish time, so I think that at this time when thief activate the phone. It means that phone was stolen from my room while I was sleeping. Who else can open the door in your hotel other than your staff? Before you say that you have no thieves, make it .. I'm waiting for compensation!!!
